My Bio
Hello! I'm just your "normal" Arachnid enthusiast here to post pictures of my own specimens as a form of internet backup, as well as to show them to other Arachnid enthusiasts.

I perform speeches in front of classrooms for my local schools and also do exhibits for local libraries. I generally tend to stay away from Tarantula's as I find them quite bland, however I keep other forms of Mygalomorphae (Trapdoor spiders and the like), and particularly focus on Scorpions. I have articles published online on websites in regards to specific species of scorpions I've kept.

Other than that, I've worked with venomous snakes, such as False water Cobra's, Rattlesnakes, Copperheads and the like. I snorkel and ride dirtbikes, and I'm dying to swim with sharks in the future.

Favourite Movies
Inception, Alien vs. Predator 2.
Favourite Bands / Musical Artists
Mors Principium Est, Disarmonia Mundi, Eye of the Enemy, and so much more.
Favourite Books
The Kingkiller Chronicle
Favourite Gaming Platform
Xbox 360 (Because I can't afford a good gaming computer).
Other Interests
The study of scorpions (Scorpionidae).
Just randomly decided to post about how I've got an Imgur account. My Imgur account is: ThatOneArachnidKeeper. Occasionally I don't upload stuff here, but over there instead. :P

Hello to anyone that still has me watched. Apologies for not posting any status updates on inverts or any pics/writeups in awhile. Had a power outage for just long enough to lose a large chunk of my collection during the coldest day of this winter, s...

True facts about Brown Recluses (Loxosceles). The Genus Loxosceles belongs to the superfamily Scytodoidea, which is comprised by the basal family Sicariidae (Six-eyed spiders). Within Sicariidae there are two genera: Loxosceles and Sicarius, which are both known for having a necrotizing agent within the venom known as “Sphingomyelinase D” which is contained within some forms of Bacteria. The bite of a Loxosceles or Sicarius is known to cause what is called “Loxoscelism”, which is where the bite area becomes inflamed and then as the bite becomes infected it slowly begins to eat away at the surrounding flesh. Amazing!
Your photography is really great! I love spiders, scorpions and so on, they're beautiful animals. It's great that you make photos of these animals, really!
Keep up your good work!
Well thanks for the compliments! I've been working with scorpions, spiders, centipedes, and so on for about six years. I find them fascinating, and love taking pictures of them/doing research on them. As of right now, I am currently in the middle of writing a care and information article about spiders belonging to the family Hypochilidae (Lampshade spiders). :)
